Puget Sound Nursing Informatics:
Established in 1997, the Puget Sound Nursing Informatics network is composed of nurses that are working or interested in the field of nursing informatics. While most of the members are nurses, anyone interested in the field of nursing informatics is allowed to join, including students. Our members work for various hospitals, health care facilities, and vendors.
Since its inception, PSNI has served a valuable resource for the Puget Sound region without the traditional model of member dues, bylaws, and officers. PSNI has continued to meet 3-4 times a year in various locations throughout Northwest Washington. We have held meetings over a 125 mile spread. Meetings have been attended by 10-50 people depending on the location and time. Our meetings do not follow a regular schedule or location to allow participation by different members. The Seattle area serves as a hub and many of the meetings are held on various medical center campuses within the Seattle area. We have led or sponsored area conferences, recently hosting Sue Newbolt and the NI Boot Camp in Seattle (October 2013). Organizations of Active Members:
